Study Break
Actually I was supposed to bring lamb over to Shaun’s house, but then I was very hungry for lamb so I cooked it at home before I went. I then proceeded to bring over what was left in my fridge, which were three pitiful slices of tenderloin. Shaun’s kitchen is not a place to cook. It has knives which are blunter than forks, and his fridge does not stock meat, cheese, milk, bread or anything my dog would eat. It did however had a plentiful supply of coke. Anyway the steaks turned out horrible, mine was burnt and his was bleeding. Fortunately there was some shiitake left and he made some mushroom-flavored salt.
Potatoes, milk, butter and salt taste great together. It looks like shit but trust me it’s fucking delicious.
This i the cute oven I use. I think one of my family members pick up from our void deck 1.
The cherry tomatoes look beautiful, but they tasted like shit actually. Shouldn’t have gotten those cheap china ones.
The meat was a little overcooked, but still quite tender and juicy. Crust is made of breadcrumbs, parsley, cinnamon powder, parmesan cheese, and abit of olive oil and lemon juice.
4×100m Free Relay

The 4×100m free relay yesterday was wowwww. If I’m not wrong 5 teams out of the 8 broke the previous world record, take that for awesome. The US team overcame the France by a mere 0.08s owing to an incredible split by Jason Lezak. It’s one of those races where you wish you were their countrymen just so you could feel proud. Full highlights click here.
Btw, youtube has an olympic channel but their highlights suck. Any one with better sites please tell me thanks.
Hungry
Love it when I don’t have to work. It means I can play around with stuff in the kitchen that hasn’t been touched since we moved in. I didn’t even know the small oven we had was working.
A Jamie Oliver inspired dish, baked meatballs over an onion and tomato-puree base, with melted mozzarella.
Meatballs with spaghetti Mmmmmmm.
Deep fried platter, with onion rings, fries and batter and herb crusted chicken breast. I swear deep frying is the hardest way to cook.

The salmon skin stuck to the pan. I only found cabbage in the fridge drawer, hence the coleslaw. Turned out to be a shitty tasting combination of bland warm fish with cold vegetables.

Second attempt at salmon, tried it after watching an ep of the F word. I seasoned the capsicum with sugar and vinegar to bring out the sweet-spicy flavour of the pepper. The strong taste goes well with the lightly seasoned salmon. Served with a makeshift tartar sauce.
