“SINGAPORE’S two most popular pornographic websites, both of which allow users to upload porn videos for others to watch, have been banned here…
MDA restricts access to 100 ‘mass-impact objectionable websites as a symbolic statement of our core societal values’, Mr Hoong said in an e-mail reply to The Straits Times.
To keep the list at 100, two other websites would have had to be taken off the list. Mr Hoong did not say which two sites were de-listed. The MDA has never revealed the sites on its list…”

Singaporeans, both young and old, and mostly male, were left incensed as they woke up to a world without free porn last Friday. The atmosphere was generally gloomy on the streets, where dejected faces lined up along 7-11s around the island waiting anxiously for their shot of Maxims and FHMs.
‘How come can liddat? Chee bye I thought this is free country de worhz, where got can anyhow block porn one,’ cried a defeated Kani Na, who had been in one of the queues for almost 3 hours.
A man in his twenties seemed to be adversely affected by the ban, claiming the situation had left not only his mental health in deterioration, but also some of his body part(s) feeling’quite numb’.
Yet another person who claimed to be a man voiced out, “This ban not only affects the men you know! but also the transformers and homos! Where to get gay porn now lah you tell me? Think about how we, err, I mean they, will feel!”
Pressed for a statement, MDA spokesperson Tan Tok Kok sent out a letter to the media, stating, “We apologise for the distress this has caused to the public. However, we the gahmen have to take the moral highground like how we will ban our people from entering our casinos when they open. The criticisms about the absurdity of the list being restricted to 100 and the de-listing of 2 sites are also unfounded. After all, the public should realise that this is in line with our policy of de-listing when we reach maximum capacity for various things, like terroists and such. We are also very sure of the effectiveness of our actions. Unfortunately, we cannot release any information about THESE TWO sites, as it is all very, very top secret.”
Still, some on the streets were not too concerned.
Twin brothers RJ and XH expressed nonchalance over the whole issue, “Aiya those 2 site not even that good. Plus still got spankwire and laksa mah scared what?”
